I offer some HP crossover summaries from the Pit.  I like the Harry Potter series and I have since I was ten years old.  However, it feels weird when such a whimsical series gets crossed with some darker ones:

( Harry Potter is a Winchester, Fred and George are random, and everyone wants to sleep with Hermione for some reason. )

For my first post, I decided to pop over to FF.net and look up the best adjective I could think badfic authors would put in their summaries: "awesome". (If this has been done already, delete. I went looking and couldn't find anything.)

After watching Dead Man's Chest yesterday (*grumbles about it*), I was poking around the Pit when I found something truly icky. It's a WillxJack fic that reads disturbingly like a paperback romance novel. If Jack Sparrow was actually real and these fangirls got within five feet of him they would run screaming in the opposite direction. Hygiene certainly was not a pirate's top priority.
